Service Technician
(m/f/d) (Nationwide)

Since its founding in 1962, RMS Control and Measurement Technology Dipl.-Ing. Schaefer GmbH & Co. KG has stood for reliable engineering expertise in the fields of environmental simulators and dynamic testing systems.

We develop and produce high-precision, low-volume testing and simulation systems for our demanding customers in the Automotive – Aviation – Defense sectors.

To strengthen our service team, we are looking for Service Technicians nationwide (m/f/d) who enjoy varied and challenging tasks.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performing multi-day service assignments in Germany, Europe, and worldwide
  • Installation and commissioning of our new systems, as well as maintenance and repair of our existing systems, on-site at the customer's location
  • Instruction and training of our customers' technical staff
  • Working on RMS systems in the areas of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and hydraulics
  • Independent preparation of service assignments
  • Creation of necessary service documentation, such as service reports, maintenance protocols, calibration documents, and travel expense reports
  • Support in planning service assignments, including necessary spare parts and deployment times
  • Information exchange with development and production for the continuous improvement of RMS systems
  • Information exchange with sales regarding customer installations, with the opportunity to expand service and sales business

Your Profile

  • Completed vocational training as a metalworker/mechanic, electrician, industrial mechanic, electrical engineer, mechatronics engineer, or a comparable qualification
  • Willingness to travel (80% national / 20% international)
  • Driver's license class B
  • Customer-oriented demeanor
  • English language skills are desirable
  • Ideally, previous experience in field service
